Truck Driver Parks On Ore-Ijebu Road To Pray, Causing Traffic Jam



The truck driver parked his truck in the middle of the highway along Ore -Ijebu ode road, got down, put his mat on the ground and began to pray. This, of course, caused traffic. Some who found it amusing came down from their vehicles and began to take photos.

Reps Probe Goodluck Jonathan’s N9bn Clean Stove Project

The House of Representatives on Tuesday gave its committees on Anti-Corruption, Environment and Habitat six weeks to investigate former President Gooodluck Jonathan’s “Clean Stove For Rural Women scheme” contract of about N9.287 bn. The resolution followed a motion by Rep. Abiodun Faleke (APC-Lagos), which was unanimously adopted by members through a voice vote. Faleke noted that the Federal Executive Council had approved a contract for the supply of 20 million units of clean stove and wonder bags under the clean stove scheme for rural women. He added that the contract was at a unit cost of N464.00, amounting to about N9.287bn. The lawmaker said that following the approval of FEC, the Federal Ministry of Finance released the sum of N5bn to the Federal Ministry of Environment for the execution of the project. Suspended NIA DG, Oke admits Jonathan Ordered release of $289m

The suspended Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ayodele Oke, has met with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, where he admitted that his agency received the sum of $289,202,382 on the orders of former President Goodluck Jonathan in February 2015. President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, ordered the suspension of Oke over the role of the NIA in the ownership of $43m (about N13bn) and other currencies uncovered in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos. Buhari also ordered the suspension of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal, in connection with his indictment for contract fraud by a Senate ad hoc committee on mounting humanitarian crisis in the North-East. A top government source, on Thursday, confided in one of our correspondents that the Osinbajo-led committee had directed Oke to submit documents to back his claim.
