Q2: NTA is most watched TV station in Nigeria – GeoPoll

Using the daily data collected through GeoPoll’s Media Measurement Service, GeoPoll has analyzed the top TV stations in Nigeria for Q2, April 1st – June 30th. We examined both ratings* and share** for the top stations in Nigeria. The below chart shows the average ratings for the top 10 stations during the peak hours, from 19:00 to 21:30. As displayed in this chart, NTA had the highest ratings during Q2 in prime time. NTA maintained sustained high ratings during this time, while AIT experienced a smaller peak during its airing of the news at 20:00 and 20:30. Nigeria boasts numerous TV stations that are organized by state which results in the high rating for “other” stations in the above chart. These “other” stations can be analyzed in more detail with GeoPoll’s full dataset. GeoPoll also examined average share from April to June 2015. NATIONWIDE IMPLEMENTATION OF CENTRAL BANK  OF NIGERIA'S CASHLESS POLICY

We write to inform you of the extension of Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) cashless policy to all States in Nigeria effective 1st July, 2014. The following modalities which are currently applicable in Lagos, Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), Abia, Anambra, Kano, Ogun and Rivers State will also be effective nationwide: The cash-in-transit lodgment and cash evacuation services will no longer be available to customers or merchants. Rwanda’s incumbent leader Paul Kagame has sealed a crushing victory in presidential elections that granted him a third term in office, extending his 17 years in power. Kagame has won international plaudits for presiding over a peaceful and rapid economic recovery in the Central African nation since the 1994 genocide, when an estimated 800,000 people Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed. But he has also faced mounting censure for what critics and rights groups say are widespread human rights abuses, a muzzling of independent media and suppression of political opposition.
