Stephen Keshi blasts Nigerian fans for insulting him and his family


According to a Vanguard reporter who spoke with Stephen Keshi in Brazil, the Super Eagles coach is angry at Nigerian fans for abusing him over the team's performance at the on-going World Cup in Brazil. Keshi said there was absolutely no justification for fans to insult him and his family.
"It’s a shame, just a shame that we keep doing the same thing and then they come back and they say they are sorry. Sorry for abusing my mum? Sorry for abusing my siblings? For what? That I am representing Nigeria?”
"I am disappointed, totally disappointed (by the personal attacks), but it’s their thing, no wahala (no problem).
Keshi also lambasted his fellow former football stars who have criticized his team and his tactics in Brazil, saying he had expected much better from them as they ought to know better about the game than the man on the street.

Shareholders of Zenith Bank Plc have reasons to smile as the bank thursday announced an interim dividend of N7.8 billion for the half year ended June 30, 2017. The dividend, which translates to 25 kobo per share was declared following a profit after tax (PAT) of N75.317 billion reported for the period. The audited results of Zenith Bank made available by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), show that the bank recorded gross earnings of N380.4 billion, up by 77 per cent from N214.8 billion posted in the corresponding period of 2016.Net interest income stood at N138.962 billion, as against N127 billion in 2016. Suspended NIA DG, Oke admits Jonathan Ordered release of $289m

The suspended Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ayodele Oke, has met with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, where he admitted that his agency received the sum of $289,202,382 on the orders of former President Goodluck Jonathan in February 2015. President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, ordered the suspension of Oke over the role of the NIA in the ownership of $43m (about N13bn) and other currencies uncovered in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos. Buhari also ordered the suspension of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal, in connection with his indictment for contract fraud by a Senate ad hoc committee on mounting humanitarian crisis in the North-East.
