Ikpeazu’s Chief of Staff dies In London

The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Chief Chijioke Nwakodo, is dead.

His younger brother, Mr. Obidike Nwakodo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Umuahia that news of his brother’s death in a London hospital on Thursday evening, at the age of 56, was communicated to the family immediately it occurred.

The late Nwakodo, a father of two, was appointed Chief of Staff to the governor on June 3, 2015.

A politician and businessman, he was born on March 29, 1961 and was chairman of Umuahia North Council between 1999 and 2002), where he was nicknamed “Zero allocation.”

He also served as the chief economic adviser to the immediate past governor, Senator Theodore Orji
