Ramadan: Kano govt relaxes movement of motorcycles

Kano State Government has relaxed movement of motorcycles from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This was contained in a statement signed by Malam Ameen Yassar, the Press Secretary to the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje in Kano on Friday.

“The Kano State Government has during its periodic Security Council Meeting reviewed the restriction placed on the movement of motorcycles in the Kano in view of Ramadan period,” it said.
According to the statement, the ban has now been relaxed by four hours, from 6 p.m. to 10p.m. daily.

“The review is to facilitate movement to mosques and other places for Tafsir during the holy month of Ramadan only.

“However, It is an offence to carry a passenger on a motorcycle,” the statement added.
