Goodluck Has Approved The Establishment Of Federal Polytechnic Of Oil And Gas in Rivers

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the establishment of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in Bonny, Rivers State, with a take off grant of N1billion for the Polytechnic to commence academic activities.
The President also approved the appointment of Professor Elijah Tamuno Iyagba as Rector, while Mr. Willabo A. Gilbert is to serve as Registrar. The President further approved the appointment of Mr Akpomeyoma Gabriel as Bursar and Mr Ata John Woke Ajala as Polytechnic Librarian.
Supervising Minister of Education, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike described the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in Bonny, Rivers State as a practical expression of the President’s commitment to improving access to tertiary education, creation of employment and the empowerment of the youths with the necessary skills to contribute to national development.

Fani-Kayode speaks on meeting Fayose at PDP National Convention

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has spoken about meeting Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, at Saturday’s PDP National Convention. Fani-Kayode and Fayose joined over 3,000 delegates at the Eagles Square in Abuja for the event. The non-elective convention was the first of such gathering, since the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate the National Caretaker Committee (NCC) led by Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.
