Sambo's Jnr Brother Dead In Ghastly Auto-accident Along Airport Rd. Abuja


Capt. Sambo (junior brother to Vice President Sambo) died less than 2 hrs ago in a ghastly car accident on Bill Clinton Drive.

His car collided with a tree and bust in flames.

It was obviously as a result of over speeding.

He was on his way to the airport to embark on a flight.

Osun Election: Nine Political Parties Adopt Omisore

Nine out of the 20 political parties contesting the August 9 Osun State governorship election on Wednesday adopted the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore, as their candidate in the election. The parties are: the Accord Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, the Democratic Peoples Party, the Action Alliance, the Peoples Party of Nigeria, the Social Democratic Party, the Unity Party of Nigeria, the Kowa Party, and the Advance Congress of Democrats. The Director-General Iyiola Omisore Campaign Organisation, Mr. Lere Oyewumi, who presented the state chairmen of the parties at an event, which was held at the PDP secretariat Osogbo, said the development was an indication that Omisore was the candidate to beat in the election. Minimum Wage: There’ll Be No Warning Strike, Labour Tells Govt

The President of Trade Union Congress, Quadri Olaleye, said organised labour would not go on a warning strike before the main industrial action, if government failed to meet workers’ demand on the implementation of the new minimum wage by the close of work on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. In a communiqué issued at the end of a meeting of leaders of labour unions on Tuesday in Abuja, organised labour had said it would not guarantee industrial peace in Nigeria, if the Federal Government failed to hold a meeting with labour and accept its demand on the consequential salary adjustment arising from the new minimum wage. Labour said it had demonstrated a great deal of restraint, consideration and patience with government in arriving at the demand of 29% salary increase for officers on salary levels 07 to 14 and 24% adjustment for officers on salary grade levels 15 to 17.
