Femi Adesina under fire over comments on Buhari’s medical bills

Nigerians have blasted the special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina for claiming ignorance of who is paying for President Muhammadu Buhari’s treatment  abroad.

Some Nigerians who shared their reaction via a post on twitter by Reno Omokiri, media aid to former president Goodluck Jonathan accused Adesina of hypocrisy  and being economical with the truth.

Mr Adesina had said on Monday when he made an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, during which he shared his thoughts and feelings about meeting his boss for the first time in more than three months.

“I do not know who is paying (for his treatment), but as a President, he has a right to be treated by the country,” he said when asked who was footing the President’s bill.

One of those who commented, Kennedy Osemobor said “How do you expect him to know the names of over 30 million Nigerians that contribute to the income…. he also will not know who pays his salary”.

Moses Ideho in his own reaction  wrote “How did we manage to be so saddled with idiots, in so short a time?”

One other who identified as Anurika Precious said Adesina is now a clown that has lost sense of shame.
